Toronto, Ontario‘s newest drive-in concert venue, CityView Drive-In, welcomed Hamilton, Ontario “True Rockers” Monster Truck to its first show on July 17, 2020. After an almost five-month hiatus of any live music inside a venue, CityView Drive-In was a refreshing place to catch a show, with the backdrop of the city skyline and sun setting over the city of Toronto. They also offer food service delivered directly to you, as you enjoy the show from your vehicle. It is a different type of concert setting, although was enjoyed by the crowd and band, noted by flashing lights and honking horns.

Taking into account that the show was originally slated to take place the night before, but due to severe thunderstorm warnings the show was rescheduled to the following night, so there were only about 100 or so cars in the parking lot. Everyone in those cars seemed to be soaking in every note and drum beat as they screamed across the parking lot.
Starting as a Canadian indie band, Monster Truck have definitely solidified their place in the Rock n’ Roll world. They have toured with not only other Canadian bands such as the Sheepdogs, but have also been picked up as openers for the likes of Slash and supported DeepPurple on a number of sold out shows.
