Mark Brown, operating under the moniker of Murder Basement, is based in Indianapolis, Indiana and specializes in music and conceptual photography. A product of the ’80s, he was heavily influenced by horror movies, heavy metal, video games, and Bill & Ted. Once offered an art scholarship to Ball State University that he regretfully declined, he graduated with a boring old History degree and joined the workforce taking a hiatus from all creative endeavors for the better part of fifteen years. Then with the encouragement and support of his friends he picked up a paintbrush and a camera and began creating art once again. When it comes to photography his only philosophy: Just Murder It.
“All we are is dust in the wind, dude.”
