Freestyle Fridays Countdown: Wil&More and Cynthia Kick Off the New Year’s Weekend at the Magic City Nights

Miami, Fl – As the year draws to a close, the Magic City Casino welcomes the Freestyle Fridays series just ahead of New Year’s Eve, featuring the dynamic performances of Wil &More and the legendary Cynthia. Despite the cold temperatures (by Florida standards) in the mid-60s, the outdoor concert becomes a sizzling celebration, infusing the night with pulsating beats and the warmth of old-school tunes.

Wil &More, a veteran of the freestyle scene, kicks off the night with an infectious energy that contradicts the chilly weather. Wil opens his set with “Soul on Fire“. Hits like “Materialistic Girl” and “You’ll Never Find Another Love” reverberate through the Magic City, creating a lively atmosphere that has the audience forgetting about the cold. Wil’s stage presence and charisma has the crowd dancing and singing along, turning the outdoor space into a heated dance floor.

Following Wil &More, the spotlight shifts to Dreamgirl Cynthia, a queen of freestyle music. Her entrance is met with a roar of applause, and from the first note, she transports the audience back to the golden era of freestyle with an acapella sing along. Cynthia recalls her beginnings in Freestyle with stories of riding the train while writing her first song. Cynthia’s set includes a medley of her biggest hits including “Change on Me“, “Love Me Tonight“, “How I Love Him“, “Thief of Hearts” and others. The iconic tracks resonate through the crisp night air and Cynthia’s powerful vocals capture the hearts of everyone present. Cynthia wraps up her set by inviting a fan to perform Johnny O’s part of her biggest hit, “Dreamboy/Dreamgirl“. There is no man brave enough to take the stage opposite Cynthia, so a very brave 16 year old girl takes the stage and does a great job carrying the tune alongside her. Despite the cold, the audience was warmed by the fiery performance on stage.

The outdoor setting, though chilly, provides a unique backdrop for the night’s festivities. DJ Jorge Santana keeps the crowd entertained, both pre and post show, with great mix sets featuring Freestyle and the Miami Bass sound.
