Noblesville, IN – It was Saturday night and after a brief delay on gates due to inclement weather, 21,000 fans rolled into Ruoff Music Center to catch Godsmack with support from *Staind and *Mix Master Mike (from the Beastie Boys) on the BEST OF TIMES world tour. *(not pictured)
If you’ve never seen Godsmack, I can tell you that you’re missing out! They deliver every time they hit the stage; giving all they have to give to their adoring fans. Featuring band members Sully Erna (vocals, guitar, drums, percussion), Robbie Merrill (bass, backing vocals), Tony Rombola (guitar, backing vocals) and Shannon Larkin (drums, percussion) Saturday’s set was no exception. The almost 90 minute set included explosions, concussion bombs, pyro, confetti with beach balls AND a dueling drum-off between Erna and Larkin that included snippets of AC/DC and Metallica. All the things you would want from these heavy metal hard hitters. It was a party and promised to be “the best of times” – It even said so in the title of the tour!
