Indianapolis, IN. – It may have been a Wednesday evening, but the Circle City was buzzing with activity. Downtown, the Indiana Pacers were hosting Game 3 of the NBA Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Just outside the fieldhouse, more than a thousand peaceful protesters gathered to draw attention to the recent ICE raids happening across the U.S., including right here in Indianapolis—using the spotlight of the Finals to amplify their message. Meanwhile, across town, The Allman Betts Band took the stage at the Vogue Theatre, part of their “Lucky Sevens Tour” celebrating seven years of musical collaboration, presented by Forty5 Presents.
Opening the night was the Koch Marshall Trio, featuring the formidable talents of Greg Koch on guitar and vocals, Dylan Koch on drums, and Toby Lee Marshall on the Hammond B3 organ and vocals. Greg Koch, a celebrated guitarist and educator, brought his signature blend of blues, rock, funk, and jazz to the stage with electrifying precision. His performance was nothing short of a masterclass in guitar virtuosity—dynamic, expressive, and technically brilliant. The trio’s set did more than just warm up the crowd; it set an electrifying tone for the night and raised the bar for the musical journey ahead.

With a seamless mix of original songs and timeless covers, they struck a deep chord with the Indianapolis crowd—showcasing both reverence for their heritage and a bold vision for the future.
Fronted by Devon Allman and Duane Betts—sons of Allman Brothers icons Gregg Allman and Dickey Betts—the band brought a powerful fusion of classic rock, blues, soul, country, and jam-band influences to the stage.Their setlist fluidly wove together standout tracks from their acclaimed albums Down to the River and Bless Your Heart, while paying heartfelt tribute to the Allman Brothers’ legacy with timeless classics that had the crowd swaying and singing along. The ensemble—featuring Alex Orbison (son of Roy Orbison) on drums, Justin Corgan on bass, Johnny Stachela on slide guitar, John Ginty on Hammond B3 organ, and John Lum also on drums—displayed remarkable musicianship and chemistry, each player contributing to a rich, layered sound that was both nostalgic and refreshingly original.
