Haywire Recording artists Howie & the Hotknives (HHK) are a five piece punk rock band from Portland, OR. Brandi (bass), Howie (guitar) and Melissa (drums) put out their debut album Tough Love in the fall of 2014 on Hovercraft Records. After a few years hiatus and a global pandemic, the three original members got back together with the addition of two more members; long time friends Erica (keys) and Mike (guitar). Sequestered in their practice space viral bubble the new lineup wrote a slew of new songs. Seven of those new arrangements made their way onto the band’s latest effort MMXXII on Hovercraft Records released at the end of 2022. HHK play around the greater Portland music scene in their favorite venues with some of their favorite local bands. All of their music is available at Bandcamp and streaming on all major platforms. Make sure to check them out if you are in the Portland area and give them a listen on your favorite streaming platform.
