Indianapolis, IN – It was a great night of music when MOKB presents Shovels & Rope with opener Jeremie Albino at the historical Vogue Theatre in the Indy burb of Broad Ripple.

Starting off the evenings event was Toronto based Jeremie Albino. With just a few guitars, harmonica, and a kick drum, Jeremie quickly gathered the crowd in front of the stage. Giving a solid set of Americana mixed with Country-Blues, Jeremie highlighted his new six-song EP Past Dawn released the day of our show (4.01.22) via The Good People Records and produced by S&R’s Michael Trent. Jeremie will be out touring with Shovels & Rope through mid-April then both acts will be performing at the HIGH WATER FESTIVAL (4.23.22) in North Charleston, SC.  Jeremie heads overseas for a headlining tour through May.

Next up was husband and wife folk duo Shovels & Rope featuring Cary Ann Hurst and Michael Trent from Charleston, SC – Highlighting songs from their newest album Manticore (released 2.18.22 via Dualtone Records), this folk-duo known for their mixture of American Folk and Country Rock generally combine their sets with a combination of tunes from their solo careers and nine studio albums (yes NINE!). Another fun fact about this duo is they both play guitar, drums, keyboards, AND sing. Generally they start out with Michael on guitar/harmonica and Cary Ann behind the drums and playing keys; then switch with Cary Ann on guitar and Michael behind the kit.
