Miami, FL – The Magic City Casino in Miami, Fl celebrated it’s 10th Anniversary on October 12, 2019 by hosting a free concert by Grupo Niche and Victor Manuelle. Both Grupo Niche and Victor Manuelle are Grammy nominated and Billboard charting artists. The Magic City Casino offered the concert for free to its loyal customers and the community at large as a thank you for their patronage over the past 10 years.
The threat of bad weather did not keep the masses away from enjoying an evening of rhythmic melodies, syncopating percussion and the latin heat that salsa music brings to the Miami community. The blasts from the brass, hypnotizing cadence of the congo drums and the ring of the cowbell had everyone dancing before the show even began.
Grupo Niche got the celebration started just after 7pm with one of their most popular songs, “La Negra No Quiere”. As a group whose beginnings go back to 1979, their catalog is extensive and deep. That being the case, they played to the adoring fans for what appeared to be forever. Their success has put Grupo Niche on the Billboard charts 18 times, with 7 of these songs making the top 10. Their set on this occasion includes fan favorites “Una Aventura”, “Hagamos Lo Que Diga El Corazon”, “Cali Aji”, a new single off of their upcoming album to be released in January 2020 called “Soltero”, and culminated with their mega-hit, “Cali Pachanguero”.
The fans had a quick minute to visit the great food truck offerings at Magic City Casino events and the ever popular bars before the evening’s headliner. The skies begin to open up just as Victor Manuelle prepares to come on stage. The lights dim and the fans cheer as the familiar music starts to play and Victor appears from the back of the stage. The view of the front row was reminiscent of the Elvis craze in the 50’s and 60’s. There was no doubt that the fans had come to see Victor Manuelle. It did not take long to hear the entire audience sing along, word for word, with every song that was played.
The setlist includes, among others, “Tengo Ganas”, “Que Hubiera Sido De Mi”, “Como Una Estrella”, “Que Suenen Los Tambores” and even “La Vida Es Un Carnaval”, a song made famous by the late, great queen of salsa music, Celia Cruz. Victor proceeds to deliver a fantastic performance and keeps the crowd on their feet and dancing for the rest of the evening.
The Magic City Casino delivers a great experience at the perfect price, free! Fans were very appreciative and did not leave disappointed.
