Knuckle Puck Wraps Up Tour With Sold Out Home Town Show

Chicago, IL –  The stacked lineup of Anxious, Meet Me @ The Altar, Hot Mulligan and headliners Knuckle Puck performed to a sold out Concord Music Hall on Wednesday night, wrapping up a very successful short North American Tour before they head over to Europe for a series of shows starting in May.

Starting off the evening was Anxious, a band hailing out of Fairfield, Connecticut, recently signed to Run For Cover Records. They released their first album on the label entitled, Little Green House. The band performed with what seemed an endless amount of energy as people crowd surfed, moshed, and sang along with their songs.

After Anxious wrapped up their set, Meet Me @ The Altar came out to play next – and they didn’t take their foot off the gas. The band had previously released their own material independently before being signed to major label, Fueled By Ramen. Their release, Model Citizen, has turned into one of the best albums of 2021. The bands performance on stage, and their music, makes them the one to really watch out for in 2022. It won’t be very long until they’re the ones headlining shows.

Lansing, Michigan’s very own Hot Mulligan kept up the energy and momentum, opening their own set with “Deluxe Capicator” from their 2018 release Pilot on No Sleep Records. The bands setlist contained a lot of their latest album You’ll Be Fine, which came out in 2020 just before pandemic lockdown. The crowd sang along with every single song, and various audience members participated in moshing and crowd surfing.

Next up was Chicago’s very own Knuckle Puck. Playing to their home town crowd definitely had the band amped up on stage. While typically the band consists of five members, drummer John Siorek was forced to sit out due to breaking his arm recently. In his place, bassist Ryan Rumchaks sat in on the drums, while singer Joe Taylor took on the bass duties along with his vocals. While a much different arrangement, the band were just as tight as ever, and sounded great as they ran through a career-spanning set of songs from all three of their albums and various EPs, which included opening their set with “Want Me Around” from their 2017 release, Shapeshifter. The band also ran through some crowd favorites such as “Gasoline” and “Everyone Lies To Me”, before Dan Lambton, the former singer for Real Friends, came out and joined the band onstage for “Evergreen”, from the bands first album, Copacetic.
