Island Holiday Summer Tour – Stick Figure Comes to the End of the Road in West Palm Beach, Fl

West Palm Beach, Fl – The Island Holiday Summer Tour rolls into West Palm Beach like a warm breeze off the Atlantic, and by night’s end, the iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre feels less like a concert venue and more like a sun-drenched reggae utopia—albeit one with a suspiciously fragrant fog hanging in the air.

Opening the evening, The Hip Abduction wastes no time setting the tone. Frontman David New (vocals, guitar) leads the St. Petersburg-based collective through a breezy, percussion-rich set that blends Afrobeat, indie pop, and coastal reggae. Chris Powers (bass) and Matt Poynter (drums) lock in a groove that’s both hypnotic and danceable, while Justino Lee Walker (guitar), Cody Moore (saxophone, keys), and Dave Johnson (saxophone) add layers of warmth and shine. Their set is short but sweet, with highlights like “Pacific Coast Highway” and “An Island Still Remains” coaxing early arrivals into a gentle sway. The crowd, still filtering in, is already barefoot and blissed out.

Its not too long after Stephen Marley takes the stage, the skies decide to join the jam. A brief but poetic downpour soaks the crowd just as Marley launches into “Is it Love”. Ponchos appear, but no one runs for cover—this is reggae, after all, and a little rain only adds to the mystique.

Marley, flanked by a tight band of seasoned players, delivers a set that’s equal parts tribute and testimony. His voice—gravelly, soulful, unmistakably Marley—carries through the mist as he performs the classics made famous by his father and a stirring rendition of “I Shot the Sheriff.” The audience, damp but undeterred, sings every word like scripture.

By the time Stick Figure takes the stage, the rain has passed, but the haze—let’s call it “herbal enthusiasm”—has only thickened. Scott Woodruff (lead vocals, guitar) emerges with his signature mellow charisma, joined by KBong (keyboards), Kevin Offitzer (drums), Tommy Suliman (bass), Johnny Cosmic (guitar, keys, backing vocals), and Will Phillips (percussion).

The band launches into “Shine” and “Way of Life,” and the amphitheater transforms into a glowing island of sound. Visuals of palm trees and ocean waves dance across the stage, while fans sway in unison, eyes closed, smiles wide.

And yes—Cocoa the Tour Dog makes her expected cameo, trotting across the stage to thunderous applause. It’s a moment of pure joy, the kind that only Stick Figure can conjure.

From the golden-hour glow of The Hip Abduction to the rain-kissed reverence of Stephen Marley and the dub-drenched dreamscape of Stick Figure, this night is a postcard from paradise. The haze may linger, but so does the feeling: warm, weightless, and wonderfully free.
