Earl Scruggs Music Festival 2023 Arriving Soon

This Labor Day Weekend the Tryon International Equestrian Center in Mill Spring, South Carolina will host the Earl Scruggs Music Festival. Incredible performances, toe-tapping rhythms, and a celebration of Bluegrass will take over the grounds September 1 – 3, 2023 and feature Emmylou Harris, Greensky Bluegrass, Infamous Stringdusters, Del McCoury Band, The Earls of Leicester, and many more.

The multi-day celebration set at the foot of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains will offer three stages: The FLINT HILL Hill Stage presented by WLOS (main stage), The FOGGY MOUNTAIN Stage presented by Lakeside Mills and The LEGENDS WORKSHOP Stage presented by Gibson Gives. There will also be exclusive experiences, festival workshops and a family area with children’s activities.

The Earl Scruggs Music Festival is presented in partnership by the Earl Scruggs Center, a museum and cultural center located in Shelby, NC, and public radio WNCW-FM a flagship roots music station located at Isothermal Community College in Western North Carolina.

Plan a visit to the Earl Scruggs Center, located in uptown Shelby, NC, to explore Mr. Scruggs’ innovative career and the community that gave it shape. The Center provides educational opportunities to learn more about the life story of legendary five-string banjo master and Cleveland County native, who began the three-finger banjo playing style that has come to be known around the world as “Scruggs Style.”

Mr. Scruggs made incredible contributions to solidify his place as an American icon and musical legend before he passed away on March 28, 2012. His music continues to inspire and the Scruggs-style sound can be heard in many genres of modern music.
