Norfolk, VA — Confetti makes everything better, even at a metal concert. Beartooth brought the party to The Norva in Norfolk, Virginia on April 24, 2022 for The Below Tour Part 2 with special guests Silverstein, The Devil Wears Prada and ERRA. Opening the set with his hard-hitting song “Below,” the title track from his latest album, Beartooth architect Caleb Shomo acknowledged in the lyrics what I think has been the main downside to Covid isolation: “the fear that infects your brain.” With most of the album reflecting the darker side of these tough times, Shomo unleashed on stage what many felt in 2020. He was fed up. The crowd agreed with him and cut loose feeling empowered by the infectious beat and hard-hitting lyrics throughout the night. Head-bangers from the albums Aggressive, Disgusting and Disease also graced the setlist. (See the setlist below.) Get a taste of this amazing night with the two galleries below!

ERRA, THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA AND SILVERSTEIN
First to rock the stage was ERRA, a metal band from Alabama who performed mostly new songs from their self-titled album and the new deluxe edition. Second up was the metalcore band The Devil Wears Prada who exploded onto the stage performing their new song, “Watchtower” and ended the set with “Dogs Can Grow Beards All Over.” This metalcore group from Ohio formed in 2005 and has eight studio albums. The third band was the legendary Silverstein. Formed in 2000, this internationally touring veteran Canadian punk/emo group hails from Burlington, Ontario. They have a mind-blowing 500 million career streams and have a new album Misery Made Me. Check out the slideshow below by Annette Holloway.
