Deicide brings the “Banished By Sin” tour to melt the faces of Baltimore with support from Atlanta’s Cloak, Nashville’s Inferi and Ijul, Brazil’s Krisiun.
It has been just over a year since I last saw Cloak perform at Carolina Chainsaw Massacre and they have become one of my favorite bands to see live. No nonsense, just come on stage and kick everybody’s ass with some great sounding black metal. If you haven’t seen Cloak live and you have a chance to catch this tour, go for it!!!
This was my first time seeing Inferi live and they describe themselves as a melodic death metal band, I definitely picked up on some metalcore aspects of their music such as the vocal delivery and some of the guitar work. The crowd was definitely getting into them as they played what I thought was a criminally short set, or at least I thought it was compared to Cloak. Their set consisted mostly of newer material from their last full length and EP, along with two singles. If you haven’t seen Inferi live, check them out.

It has been a couple of years since I last saw Krisiun live and a good portion of the crowd was at the show to see them throw down, and they did not disappoint. Playing a set of songs that cover material from 2000’s ‘Conquerors Of Armageddon’ to 2022’s ‘Mortem Solis’ the crowd responded with headbanging and a good sized mosh pit. If you have never seen Krisiun live here is your chance, don’t miss it.

When most bands who have been playing for years go on tour, the concern for many is how much new material are they going to play and whether they will include older material in their set at all. If your hope was to see Deicide break out older material, this is the tour for you!!! A set that covers songs as far back as 1990’s ‘Deicide’, 1992’s ‘Legion’ and other older material and of course songs from their recent effort ‘Banished By Sin’. I haven’t seen Deicide live in a couple of years and they looked and sounded amazing!!!
