Up and coming pop artists, Erin & The Wildfire, released their second album, “Touchy Feely” on April 1st. The album was recorded in the Summer of 2021, in the midst of the COVID pandemic. The album was produced by songwriter and producer Matthew E. White. The popular single, “Shape” released in 2020, hits home for many as Erin shares her journey through body acceptance and the ability to love herself. If you listen to the album, you will notice a similar theme throughout as her message is about helping others by sharing her journey to acceptance of who she is.
Digital Beat Magazine had the opportunity to catch Erin & The Wildfire when they appeared on the ‘Virginia is For Lovers Stage’ at the 2019 Richmond Jazz and Music Festival.
The band started as four college kids, just down the road from me in Charlottesville, Virginia, making music just for fun. Their sound has evolved over the past 10 years and now is firmly rooted in the soul and indie-pop genres. The band blends the expressive, powerhouse vocals of frontwoman, Erin Lunsford, with the pop, funk, and indie sensibilities of bandmates Ryan Lipps (guitar), Nick Quillen (drums), Matt Wood (bass) and Stephen Roach (keyboards).
