Miami, Fl – You can feel it in the Air (Supply) tonight, November 13, 2021. The moon is out, the temperature is perfect and the breeze just right. The Magic City Casino welcomes back fans with the mega-pop duo from Australia, Air Supply. Air Supply is flying solo tonight with no opening act. The Magic City Casino brings back their fall concert series in a big way. This is the first concert at the Magic City Casino grandstand since the beginning of the pandemic. The Air Supply show is among the most anticipated shows brought to the venue. This is the ninth consecutive sellout Air Supply show at the Magic City Casino.
Air Supply is the singer-songwriter powerhouse duo of Graham Russell and Russell Hitchcock. They have been performing together for over 45 years and have a string of top of the charts hits to their credit.
Fans are filled with anticipation as the 8 o’clock hour approaches. The audience is a mix of diehard fans who won’t miss an Air Supply performance to first time Air Supply concert fans. The ages range from those who group up enjoying Air Supply music to many who are here today because of Air Supply music. A testament to the staying power of their timeless music is the fact that there are teens and young adults in the crowd singing along to every verse as the band performs.
Air Supply opens the evening with their Billboard top 5 hit, “Sweet Dreams“. With that as the starting point, the bar is set high. What follows is a continuous playlist of hit after hit after hit. The set list includes “Just As I Am“, “Chances“, “Here I Am“, “Lost in Love” and many more. Air Supply goes on to play for almost two hours with a short break mid-show in which Graham Russell takes an opportunity to recite poetry to fans. Graham proceeds to recite Am I from his book, Turn Left At Greenland.
The band returns and the show is back in gear. There are many sing-a-long and a cappella moments where the audience gets the opportunity to carry the harmony of timeless Air Supply classics. The evening culminates with the mega-hit “I’m All Out Of Love” in which the band shares the spotlight with the fans on multiple occasions allowing them to sing the chorus unaccompanied and then joining back in to finish the song.
In the end, this was a great evening for Air Supply aficionados. The setting was perfect and the fans were treated to an incredible performance by the band!
