Asheville, NC – It was as if a signal blasted out “Calling All Berserkers”; the result was a devoted Black Label Society following who packed into The Orange Peel on Friday night for a SOLD OUT show. The crowd was in full force and ready for the opportunity to unite under the spell of live music. BLS is an American heavy metal band representing massive commitment, ardent soul and unbridled strength. They have carved out a signature style and performance while inspiring legions of fans to unite in their brotherhood and sisterhood.
Metal ambassadors and icons in their own right, Zakk Wylde, Dario Lorina, Jeff Fabb and John DeServio needed no introduction to the hungry diehards that filled the venue. On stage, a giant wall of cabs set the tone while band delivered their blistering set with remarkable guitar prowess and crushing vigor. Standing center stage was Zakk’s cross and skull-embellished mic stand. Leather, cut-off denim, black boots, the iconic BLS logo and one yellow kilt met the rip and roar of the audience. From the band’s opener “Bleed for Me”, through new song “Set You Free” and into the finale including “Suicide Messiah” and “Stillborn”, BLS and their plus 20 year history was on fire tonight.
