Red Hot FISH Lured Many to Walhalla

Samantha Fish delivered a bite that was nothing short of electric.

Walhalla, SC – It might be a surprise to hear that even on a Sunday winter evening in the small town of Walhalla (population of a few thousand), many were gathered by the lure of Fish – Samantha Fish to be specific, and the early 1900s built auditorium was packed to the gills with folks thrilled to take it all in. The Walhalla Performing Arts Center, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, was just one quick stop for the singer-songwriter and guitarist on her current tour

The evening opened with the talented guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter Eric Johanson. He demonstrated soulful fretwork and delivered a set showcasing his passionate roots, the compelling and engaging nature of Johanson can easily pull the listener into his skillful journey. Four of his recent solo albums have reached a top ten position on the Billboard blues charts: Live at DBA: New Orleans Bootleg, Covered Tracks: Vol. 1, Covered Tracks: Vol. 2, and Below Sea Level.

Faster
is Samantha Fish’s seventh studio album, released on September 10, 2021.

“The whole record has a theme of taking charge and taking the reins, in a relationship or in life in general,” explains Fish. “I really thought that after 2020 I’d end up with a really dismal, bleak album, but instead, we came up with something that’s fun and sexy and so empowering.”
