Washington, D.C. – New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM) legends Girlschool on their final tour and their first US tour in nearly a decade bring the heavy to Washington, D. C. with support from New Orleans, Louisiana’s Lillian Axe and Los Angeles, California’s Alcatrazz.

Alcatrazz started the evening with the flash that you would expect from an 80’s hair metal band. From Giles Lavery’s vocals to Joe Stunp’s shredding on guitar, they came out to impress. In a set that should please veteran fans and new ones alike was a split of songs from 1983’s No Parole from Rock ‘n’ Roll, 2021’s V and 2023’s Take No Prisoners.
