All The Small Things, We’ll Be At The Show

Blink-182 create a tidal wave of threesome nostalgia in HOTlanta.

Atlanta, GA – It was the Tom-Mark-Travis show and everyone in the house had a seat to enjoy the ride. I mean, what really needs to be said when blink-182 shows up to take over the city? The sheer anticipation alone was easily felt from the crowd packed into State Farm Arena, while devoted fans were sure to grab up tour merchandise and more than a few banana costumes and nurse outfits bounced around. It would be a wild night, no doubt filled with all the antics you could imagine and overflowing with fun.

With guitarist Tom DeLonge back in the fray, alongside bassist/vocalist Mark Hoppus and drummer Travis Barker, the reunited band owned the stage with over three decades of catalog to choose from. The 26-song set was combined with the irresistible enthusiasm and amusing banter between the band members, leaving you singing, “Let’s make this last forever and ever.” The show also included pyrotechnics, animated visuals, theatrical smoke, and giant inflatable…well, if you know, you know. The often hilarious and never done nod to adolescence reminded me of a remark made by a long-time fan, “They’re a bunch of idiots and still act 15. My heroes.”
