NOBLESVILLE, IN. — Ruoff Music Center shook under the weight of one of the fall’s strongest rock packages when Breaking Benjamin brought its 2026 North American Tour to Noblesville on Wednesday, September 16. Joined by Chevelle, Starset, and Kami Kehoe, the four-act lineup stretched across generations of modern rock, moving from emerging alternative sounds and cinematic production to crushing riffs and some of the most recognizable songs of the past two decades. With fans filling the pavilion and sprawling lawn despite the late-summer heat, the night offered four distinctly different performances while proving just how strong the appetite for hard rock remains in Indianapolis.
Kami Kehoe had the task of getting the evening underway and wasted little time making an impression. The 21-year-old singer, songwriter, producer and drummer brought a modern blend of alternative rock, pop and electronic influences to the Ruoff stage, delivering an eight-song set that included “Psycho,” “Something in the Water,” and “The End.” Kehoe also worked “Love Is a Weapon” into the performance before closing out with two of her strongest tracks, “Sleep when I’m Dead” and “Dopamine“. With thousands of fans still pouring into the venue, Kehoe used her opening slot effectively, bringing an intensity that made it clear she belonged on a bill alongside three established heavyweights.

As daylight began giving way to evening, Starset transformed the amphitheater into something closer to another world. Led by vocalist and founder Dustin Bates, alongside Brock Richards (lead guitar, backing vocals), Ron DeChant (bass, keyboards, backing vocals), Adam Gilbert (drums), Siobhan Cronin (violin), Zuzana Engererova (cello), and Cody Juba (guitars, synths, soundboard, drum pads) the Columbus, Ohio based band paired its combination of hard rock, electronics and cinematic arrangements with large video screens, futuristic imagery and full-scale costumes. Opening with the recently released “p a r a d 0 x 1 c,” Starset powered through an eight-song, 40-minute set that also featured “Carnivore,” “Brave New World,” and “a n n 1 h 1 l a t 1 0 n.” By the time the unmistakable opening of “My Demons” arrived to close the set, the band had turned its relatively short time onstage into one of the evening’s most visually immersive performances. Bates capped things off by welcoming the Noblesville audience into Starset’s self-described “space cult,” an appropriately unconventional ending to a performance built around the band’s unique science-fiction universe.

Chevelle followed with a very different kind of intensity. Brothers Pete Loeffler (vocals, guitar) and Sam Loeffler (drums), joined by Kemble Walters (bass, vocals), led the Illinois rock veterans through a focused, riff-heavy performance that relied less on spectacle and more on sheer sonic force. Following a cinematic introduction, the band tore directly into “Family System” and rarely let up across its 12-song set. “Self Destructor,” “Vitamin R (Leading Us Along),” and “The Clincher” kept the energy high before longtime favorites “Send the Pain Below” and “The Red” drew some of the biggest reactions of the set. From the front of the pavilion to the back of the lawn, fans remained on their feet as Chevelle demonstrated why its stripped-down approach continues to translate so effectively to large stages. Closing with “Mars Simula,” the band left Ruoff thoroughly warmed up for the night’s headliner.

Then came Breaking Benjamin, featuring Benjamin Burnley on lead vocals and guitar alongside Jasen Rauch on lead guitar, Keith Wallen on guitar and backing vocals, Aaron Bruch on bass and backing vocals, and Brian Medeiros on drums. Before the band even appeared, a clever throwback sequence transported the crowd straight back to the early 2000s: a Windows XP-style startup led into a LimeWire download of “I Will Not Bow,” only for the file to become corrupted. Breaking Benjamin promptly provided the solution, storming the stage and launching into the song live. From there, the band delivered an 18-song set backed by massive screens, flashing lights and a tiered stage that gave the musicians plenty of room to move. “Until the End,” “Evil Angel,” “Red Cold River” were joined by deeper cuts and longtime favorites while the crowd turned “So Cold” and “Breath” into enormous amphitheater singalongs. Even a beach ball bouncing around the lawn became part of the atmosphere as Ruoff settled into a full-scale celebration of a band whose music has followed many in attendance for more than two decades.
The newer “Awaken” fit comfortably alongside staples such as “Failure” and “Dance With the Devil,” demonstrating that Breaking Benjamin can continue moving forward without abandoning the sound that built its fiercely loyal audience. But there was little question which song would have the final word. When the band closed with “The Diary of Jane,” thousands of voices joined Burnley for one final release, bringing an already massive night of rock to an emphatic conclusion.

Taken together, Kami Kehoe represented a new generation, Starset supplied theatrical ambition, Chevelle delivered uncompromising heaviness, and Breaking Benjamin provided the nostalgia, emotion and anthems that tied the entire evening together. Four very different approaches to modern rock shared one stage at Ruoff Music Center, and by the time the final notes disappeared into the Noblesville night, EACH had left its own mark.
