Phil Mogg of UFO Will Retire After 50th Anniversary

This will be Phill Mogg's 50th anniversary tour with UFO

After 22 studio albums and almost 50 years of rocking their fans, UFO’s own Phil Mogg has confirmed that this year will be his last year with the band. After Mogg leaves the band, it is almost certain that the band will fade away into rock n’ roll history. UFO stared in 1969 in London, Phil Mogg has been ever present with the hard rock band.

The decision for Phil Mogg to hang up his microphone has been a long time coming. In a press release, he mentioned that he considered to step down from being the front man, in 2016. Mogg will turn 71 in April 2019 and admits that his age has played a part in making his decision to retire.

The band has released dates for their tour in Europe, but the date displayed below is the date for initial first run for North America. Include on the tour will be rock icons Blue Oyster Cult, who will be co-headlining and Armored Saint, who will be supporting.

The current band lineup includes Phil Mogg, Vinnie Moore, Paul Raymond, Andy Parker, and Rob De Luca.
